Rusty

Like the bio for Refind Creations
Autumn is the color of my dreams
The world is drenched in rusty hues
As leaves transform from deep luscious greens
To a vibrant mosaic in shades of orange, red, yellow and brown
Catching the low slant of sunbeams
Creating a breathtaking yet nearly sublime beauty
Unsurpassed
Causing the soul to ache for the coziness of Fall, the crispness of Autumn, the changing of seasons

Refind Evolution

It all started in a garden
Then a lady came along and picked a dazzling fireworks Dahlia
She scanned it and photographed it multiple times. She filtered and posted and delighted the world
She dried it for weeks until it became kind of sad looking but she saw great potential
She unwrapped a canvas covered in burlap. She applied layers of aerosol adhesive and began plucking the sad looking petals and placing them in a design onto the canvas until a pattern developed. She said it was her favorite so far – but she says that every time. She said it looks like a dream catcher. He said it looks like fireworks. And the other he said it looks like an explosion.
She will let it sit and ponder what it will become — sleep on it dreaming of delightful ideas and share them with the world.

Progress

These are ready for leaves, stems and “planting instructions” — two large, two medium and two small Sunflowers made of vintage cork, pine cone scales and acorns. They will be finished with antique lamp parts and iron bars or metal poles for garden stakes. Refind Creations – designed by me, inspired by creation – the art of nature.

Autumn Rainstorm

Rainstorms in September are still colored in shades of summer. Black Eyed Susan and a few sunflower petals illuminated by that sunny-rainy mix as autumn approaches illuminates my heart as well

Candle production

We spent the weekend pouring soy wax candles to feature at the grand opening of our booth on Wednesday November 1! We have big candles poured into unique and beautiful containers as well as smaller candles poured into antique vessels such as the clear blue glass insulators and brown porcelain insulators. We added bases made from antique bobeches to add beauty and stability.
We will also offer several succulents in the same types of containers. When your candle is finished you might consider refinding a purpose for the container by filling it with a succulent layer on!
We look forward to hearing from everyone about how they were able to refind with us!
10 percent of sales from the candles will be donated to the Lighthouse Mission in Bellingham to help others refind their light!
