Wearing Art

Petals as Paint and Inspired Creations are two of my projects that are now expanding into clothing, home decor, and products like purses, bags, and iPhone covers.

Please take a look as I work toward filling my Etsy shop in the coming weeks. Please let me know what you think- positive or critical — this will help me know which ones to feature or not.

I’m working on a give away for February so keep your eyes on my site – like, share, follow, comment! Thank you!!

Newest Projects

Welcome to my updated blog! It’s still being finely tuned and I would appreciate feedback!

I have several projects underway right now and enjoying a lot of mornings writing. That’s a whole other blog on belindabotzong.com

I’m planning to have my son, Mark, posting there as well. He reviews sites and YouTube videos so I will share some of his thoughts and curiosities.

Today was all about replenishing the sunflowers at Whatcom Art Market. I found more materials at my favorite junk store and got some tiles from Restore to use for a few ideas.

My sunflowers are made with vintage fishing cork, pine cone scales, acorns, lots of adhesive, iron pipes and bobeche for the leaves.

They’ve been very popular and I’m thankful that my husband helps assemble!

Sunflower Wall Decor

Trying some new techniques with the sunflower theme. This is on 14×14 frame of scrap wood. Pine cone petals with acorns and upholstery tacks in a cork slice
I might try some with color but this one will remain more monochrome

Progress

These are ready for leaves, stems and “planting instructions” — two large, two medium and two small Sunflowers made of vintage cork, pine cone scales and acorns. They will be finished with antique lamp parts and iron bars or metal poles for garden stakes. Refind Creations – designed by me, inspired by creation – the art of nature.

Creative Vacation

Doing my art is part of my vacation plan. These have been so popular lately I sold out at the art market! That was amazing! We are going to refill the milk can when we return with my new sunflowers. They are partial to shade and prefer to be out of the rain but they are sturdy enough to be outside. Like many of your real plants they need to be brought in by first frost!!
My space at Whatcom Art Market will be completely redesigned next week so come check it out! Clearance prices on candles and succulents as I transition to a new focus on flowers and seasonal themes. Fall will bring many Refind projects in leaves, rust and roses, and Art Inspired by Nature.
